BIOS reads the health data your iPhone and Apple Watch already record, and turns it into one number: an age. Not your birthday — an estimate of what your habits are worth, in years, using effect sizes published in long-term studies. Walk more and the number moves down. Stop sleeping and it moves up. Every term states the paper it came from and the arithmetic that got there.
Alongside BIOS Age it shows three daily readings — Recovery, Sleep and Strain, each out of 100 — this week against your own previous eight, your day hour by hour, and trends over 7 days to 6 months. It never grades you: no streaks, no badges, no advice it cannot source. It says what it does not know: a signal the watch missed reads as missing, never as a zero. Every number is computed on the iPhone; BIOS makes no network requests. Everything in this version is free, and stays free.
